Why do people let their kid let their kids go wild in Wal-Mart?

The kids run, yell, use those stupid roller-shoes (it's not a roller rink!!) and do anything they want to. The kids steal, break things, run into people, and the parents DON'T CARE! Why aren't people telling their kids to keep their hands off things and behave themselves in the store? Kids destroy and steal a LOT of things in the store, and everyone pays.

Why do people let their kid let their kids go wild in Wal-Mart?
It's not just Wal-mart. I see yuppie idiots at Target letting their kids skate around on the Heely's (sp?) too. It's a huge liability risk and a big sign of incompetance on the parent's part.

As for Walmart, you are right that there can be more instances of kids opening toys and stuff.

I think that Walmart stores are either kept up welll or they are completely trashed. I see very few cases of somewhere in between or a consistancy in the quality and upkeep of the stores. I think a lot of it has to do with the residents of the areas that they are in.

Reply:Let me guess... you work there huh? I work at Kohls and I swear some people just do not know how to take care of children. We are open until 12am for holiday hours and they will bring their young children in and shop until we close with the kids screaming and crying the whole time because they are tired and want to sleep. I also hate those heely shoes, some stores have outlawed them, and I WISH ours would. Kids will run around with hangers or those hooks we use to take things off the wall, and the parents wont say anything until I do, but then they are yelling at me... not their children. Parents drop their kids off in the toy department while they shop and those kids tear up the toy area. I feel like I am also a babysitter when I go into work...I once saw a couple walking out of the store with two young children ( a girl about 4 and a boy about 2-3) they were holding the girls hand and the boy was walking in front of them.... then the boy ran out into the parking lot and they just kept walking behind him slowly like nothing was wrong, I ran over to where the boy was and kept him their until his "parents came over". Another time this younger lady was shopping with her 4-5 year old daughter and a 1 or 2 month old baby in his carseat... she was standing by the fitting room when her phone started to ring... so she sat her babys carseat down (with him in it) answered her phone and started to walk away... again I stood there by the baby until she came back and told her we DO have carts / strollers that you can use.
Reply:well it is exactly what you said......they DON'T CARE... i have this conversation every couple days with a friend of mine who works at walmart she always has some new story. they have had parents leave there 4 year old kids in the electronics department and go grocery shopping then they paged the mom for about 20 min then called the cops about a half hour latter the mom had finished her shopping and checked out and came up laughing bc they had the cops up there they didn't do any thing to her i think they should have gotten her for neglect. We have an arms reach rule when we are in public places and my 2 ½ year old knows it well I just tell him mommy or daddy needs to be able to touch you or you are not going to be able to walk around.
Reply:she's rite parents don't care what there kids do and its mostly rednecks. thats why they need to spank them so they'd act like normal kids. instead of acting like idiots.
Reply:I drives me crazy! they are a product of their parents. So many of them dont care how their brats behave in stores. They never say excuse me if your in their way they just plow right through. i could go on %26amp;on for a very long time. Kids have no respect for people. Its hard to believe that these poorly raised children are Americas future...
