Rollerskates?

I want to learn to ride roller skates (amateur level, no Olympic games participation). Just need an advice on how to choose the right roller skates. If you know a good brand, I'll appreciate it, too.

I need to know, how to choose the right size (is it the same size as my shoe size?), how to wear them (socks or no socks), and where to try riding them first (although, I'm pretty sure it's going to be ma apartment floor).

Rollerskates?
If you're serious about learning the sport and willing to invest in it, here is my advice:

DO NOT buy sneaker skates or the cheap ones from Wal-Mart or places like that. Good skates have balanced frames proportionate to the shoe size. Target has ones that look like the real deal, but they use the same frame on like 3 sizes! When you stand in the skates, you shouldn't feel like you are going to fall forward over the front wheels.

Chicago is a good brand on the cheap end of the scale. But the better ones are Reidell. They are fully customizable to your weight, size, etc.

When you skate, your foot should feel securely in the boot without shifting. lifting or rubbing. You should wear 2 pair of socks to keep from getting blisters or skate socks. They sell them at the skate supply places.

Reply:Clever these submariners.
Reply:Go to a sport shop or toys shop, try to find one-line roller skates (with four wheels each one). ask for help to the shop's employees about the materials of the roller. besides look for one that seems like a boot of snow skate from the skies. the size is just like your size shoes, use socks please and find somewhere outside a room is too dangerous practice this in a closed place you could hit your head or something with furniture. the best is try it with a friend who could help you ah. and when you try enjoy it.
Reply:Go to Toys R Us.
